 9:00 – 10:30 – How can we create optimal outcomes for the arthritic patient?

A discussion of chiropractic care for the arthritic animal centered around a special presentation on systemic stem cell therapy available at the University of Minnesota. Co-taught by Kristina Kiefer, DVM and Annie Seefeldt, DC, CVSMT. Group discussion / participation encouraged.

10:30 – 12:00 – How can we fortify the immune system from a chiropractic perspective?

We will talk about the niche that many of us fill as traveling practitioners – what communicable diseases are out there? How do we help identify sick animals and prevent becoming a vector for communicable disease? (Spurred by the recent outbreak of equine herpes virus in our area.) Co-taught by Kate An Hunter, DVM and Annie Seefeldt, DC, CVSMT. Group discussion / participation encouraged.

12:00 – 1:30 – Creating synergy with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine modalities.

Many of our chiropractic clients are also accessing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. We will learn history questions we can ask and new ways to look at the work we do in order to create synergy with these modalities. Co-taught by Jami Whiting, DVM and Annie Seefeldt, DC, CVSMT. Group discussion / participation encouraged.

2:00 – 3:30 Technique sharing

Canine and equine technique sharing, led by Drs. Whiting and Seefeldt, building off the information shared in the morning session.
