Full Description

Beginning her career at a mixed practice in Wisconsin, she returned to Duluth in 2003 to practice equine medicine. She also began competing in endurance riding, a long-distance equine sport, with her Arabian horse, Red. Unfortunately, he developed a nerve condition in his neck and was unable to compete. Looking for a way to treat him, Dr. Taryn began studying acupuncture. In 2008, she completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society training course and achieved certification in veterinary acupuncture. Red went on to have his most successful season of his career that year!

From 2008 – 2013, she practiced exclusively acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) in the Duluth area, treating dogs, cats, and horses for wellness and performance. From 2014-2018, she based her practice in northern Wisconsin, continuing to provide highly individualized complementary care for her patients of all species across northern Wisconsin and northeastern MN. In 2019, Dr. Taryn and her family relocated to the southwest Metro, and she joined the team at CFE.

Since then she rounded out her integrative toolkit by completing the animal chiropractic program at Options for Animals in Kansas. In between the intensive modules of her training program at Options, she spent time shadowing each of the CFE doctors to help refine her own special approach to the powerful, neurology-based modality of animal chiropractic. AND, upon completion of her animal chiropractic training program, she took the extra step to become certified in animal chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA.)

She is excited to now offer acupuncture, TCVM and animal chiropractic through CFE! And CFE is equally as excited to have her as part of the CFE Crew!
